As a documentary and street photographer my main areas of interest are society and culture. In my work I combine the emotions of nostalgia, empathy, curiosity and dignity, with the principals of classical art: proportion, balance, harmony and idealism. However, depending on the nature of the project, I am not averse to using a more 'unprincipled' approach; one of unbalanced framing, wide angles, high contrast and are, bure, boke. All of my photographs are imbued with humanity, and my approach in capturing these images is towards the candid and the natural.

Although some of my earlier work is in digital format, I now shoot only 35mm film. My nostalgia for the darkroom, the simplicity of mechanical cameras and the beauty of film has brought me back to analogue photography, where my interest in this art form first began.

My work has been published by Saigoneer, Domestika, Bao Danang, Danang Bird Club and other media outlets.
